What Are the Documents Required for Company Registration in India

Choosing the right business structure for your firm is crucial to help you achieve your revenue goals and reach success. There are a number of different business structures you can register under, including Partnership Firm, Limited Liability Partnership (LLP), Private Limited Company, One Person Company (OPC) and Public Limited Company. Each of these structures offers different benefits and requires different documentation to be filed.

Once you've chosen a business structure, it's time to begin collecting the necessary documents for company incorporation. The most important documents required include a PAN Card of all shareholders and directors, an ID proof, Digital Signature Certificate (DSC), DIN, and address proof for both the company and its shareholders. Other documents required may include the Articles of Association, the No Objection Certificate from the landlord, and utility bills.

The Registrar of Companies (ROC) is very particular about the type of identity proof and address proof that must be submitted with applications. It is essential that the proof of address matches the name and date of birth on the PAN card. If you're a foreign national, the passport must be notarised or apostilled.

You must also provide the address of your registered office and the contact details of the agent appointed to receive legal documents on behalf of the company. Lastly, you must submit forms for registering the company for taxes, depending on the type of company you choose to form.
